Born and raised in New Orleans in 1961 she met her beloved husband of 59 years and raised their family together with him. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Louis King of France for nearly 55 years.
She ran her company, Jeepers Creations, providing unique jewelry and New Orleans themed crafts for 30 years. Carol was always adorned with sparkles and color, and she knew how to decorate a room and how to make the holidays feel special. She loved traditions, especially her annual ladies Christmas Luncheon with her longtime group of friends. An avid crafter, cook, decorator, and painter, Carol's passion was evident in everything she did. She often taught cooking classes at St. Louis King of France, with a focus on creole recipes; and many of her students still comment on the impact she made in their cooking abilities to this day.
Carol will always be remembered for her joie de vivre. Whether the marching groups requested St. Patrick's Day regalia, a neighbor was looking for a rhinestone pin for their favorite high school or college, or a floral arrangement was needed for a special day, she was happy to help.
Carol taught us that every gathering of family and friends is a time to celebrate and count our blessings. She lived her life with joy and regarded her skills as a gift from God. She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 7, 2021, at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70119, at 12:15 PM; Visitation will be from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.
