It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Ms. Mildred Morris, 97 of Asheville, who transitioned to her eternal home on Friday February 4, 2022 at her residence. She transitioned peacefully & gently at her home, surrounded by her loving son Robert Morris.

Well known and loved by so many Mildred Morris opened her heart to many children over the years. Her illustrious career began at The Allen School as a Instructor. She then went on to be an amazing Guidance Counselor and Instructor for Ashville City Schools. After retirement she opened the doors of her home and heart to a newly created daycare "Millie's Love Center". A superb home of amazing love and security. Millie cooked three meals a day, focusing on children belonging to single parents families. She was a amazing baker, chef and accomplished seamstress. Mildred was a proud recipient of "The Great American Families" an honor bestowed upon her by Nancy Reagan, Willard Scott's Great American Families Event, which was held in The White House East Room on June 10, 1986.
