Mr. Brewer passed away at the age of 81 in his residence in Lancaster, Texas. He had been ill and failing for several weeks. Bristol Hospice was chosen for Bill's care at home after a hospital stay. His birthplace was at his first home in Sardis, Texas in 1940.

A strong faith in Jesus Christ carried Bill through his life. He made his profession of faith at age nine. He has been a member of different church congregations. Most recently he was a member of Waxahachie Bible Church.

After attending one year of college at Texas A&M, he enlisted in the Air Force. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Engineering from Oklahoma State University and became an electronic warfare officer, first on B-52 bombers then a flight navigator on C130s during the Vietnam Conflict. After twenty years of service, he retired from the Air Force in the mid 1970s as a Captain.

During his Air Force years, he was married to Ginger (Littlejohn) Brewer. They were blessed with three children, Stephen, Phillip, and Rebecca. The family moved with Bill as he was stationed at several Air Force bases in the United States.

When Bill left the Air Force and after a divorce, he returned to college and obtained his master's degree in Mathematics.

He remarried in 1995 to Glenda (Burke) Brewer and took up residence in Lancaster, TX.

Bill remarried in 2002 to Johnnie (George) Brewer. She was at his side when he passed away.

With his degree in Mathematics, Bill became a college Math professor for several years...his dream job. When his wife Glenda became ill and needed more help and medical attention, he left education. He began making hot-shot deliveries for trucking companies. Bill used Ford and Sprinter vans to make his deliveries. He could be dispatched in the 48 states. He made it to most of those with deliveries or passed through them.

Bill's other interests included investing in the stock market, photography, and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, M.T. "Mutt" and Vivian Brewer, previous wife Ginger (Brewer) Billings, his late wife Glenda (Burke) Brewer.

He is survived by his wife Johnnie Brewer. Bill's surviving children are Stephen Brewer, Phillip Brewer, and Rebecca (Brewer) Little. He is also survived by three stepchildren John Dobson, Allie Savala, and Jamie White, his grandchildren and great grandchildren listed below, his sister, Barbara Boyd and her children, Chris Boyd and Carol Boyd Saunders, and his brother, Marcus Brewer.

His grandchildren include Ryan Brewer, Lauren Greener, Erin Cuff, Amy Jacobsen, Sara Brewer, twins Aaron and Amethyst Brewer, and Christopher Savala. His great grandchildren are Spencer Taylor, Noah Cuff, and Presley Cuff.
