Teresa G. Jones, 64, of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at her home, following an extended illness.

She was born June 26, 1957 in Franklin County, Ohio, daughter of the late Ronald and Bessie Jones.

Surviving is her only son, Dwight B. LaMarr Jones; grandchildren, Ashlee Leilous, Derius Jones, Demitrius Jones, and MaryJo Smith; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Kinsley; three siblings, Larry Ronald Jones, Donald Ellsworth Jones, and Walter Jordan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Denise Jones.

Following her graduation from high school, Teresa enlisted in the United States Army and followed in the footsteps of her military family. She served honorably, and spent time all across the United States and even in Germany. After completing her military career, she settled in Chillicothe and worked at the VA Medical Center. In her free time, she loved making different arts and craft. She also enjoyed playing bingo at the VA with residents.

Military graveside honors at Greenlawn Cemetery in Chillicothe will be announced in the coming days.
