Nancy Elizabeth Young RN, 70, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at home on Christmas day.
Nancy is survived by her family, who meant the world to her. Husband Jim, whom she shared 54 amazing years with; Her forever grateful kids Jennifer (husband Marc), Rebecca (husband Kyle) and Jim (wife Lauren) as well as her beloved grandchildren Cooper, Emma and Connor.
Born on Halloween, Nancy received her nursing degree from Truesdale Nursing School. One of the lucky people who loved her job, she went on to have a rewarding career as a maternity nurse and lactation consultant.
One of Nancy's favorite things was vacationing at Walt Disney World with her family. Overall she made more than 20 trips, including her honeymoon, trips with her kids and grandchildren and eventually one last visit this past October with Jim. These trips produced so many amazing memories for her family as well as an incalculable number of photos and video clips of her eating.
Throughout her life Nancy enjoyed, among many things, having a proper English tea, riding the Harley with Jim, spending time with friends Elaine and Esther , cross-stitching, the beach (but not the water), traveling (but not flying) and going to Kohls.
Nancy loved all holidays and the chance to celebrate with family and friends. It was put best that she loved holidays so much, it was fitting that she came in on a holiday and left on one as well. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
A funeral mass will take place for Nancy on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 315 Warren Street, Fall River.
Due to rising COVID, facial coverings are required regardless of vaccination status.
