Christine Parton Holder Baker, lovingly known as MawMaw, 92 of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd Holder; husband, Milledge H. Baker, Sr.; parents, G.T. and Bertha Parton; stepson, Milledge H. Baker, Jr; two sisters, Verma Parton, Mary Alice Johnson; three brothers, G.T. Parton, Jr., Ferman Parton, Houston Parton.
Left to cherish her precious memory are her daughters, Peggy Holder Barnett (Thomas), Rebecca Holder St. Clair, both of Huntsville, Alabama; two granddaughters, Lori Turner (Jamie), Jill St. Clair, both of Huntsville, Alabama; three great grandchildren, Brannon Turner, Meghan Dockter (Tyler), Josh Stovall (Katherine), all of Huntsville, Alabama; one step granddaughter, Pam Bertrand of Kansas City, Missouri; two great great grandchildren, Rylan and Raeghan Dockter. She is also survived by her Holder family.
Christine was a kind and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother. She loved her family with all of her heart. She enjoyed cooking delicious home cooked meals and spending time with family and friends. She also looked forward to eating biscuits and gravy prepared by her son in law, Thomas.
Christine was one of a kind, and always had a kind word to say to everyone she met. One of the sweetest traditions was to receive a phone call on your birthday and listen to her sing happy birthday. This world will be a little dimmer without her sweet presence.
