A Christian Wake will be held at 6:00 PM, Thursday, March 10, 2022 in Lunn's Colonial Chapel. The Rite of Committal and Military Honors will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 11, 2022 at Crestview Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
A daughter of the late Gilberto and Isabel Chapa she was born on December 1, 1952 in Weslaco, Texas. Gloria met her husband of 48 years in Mannheim Germany in 1973.Gloria was a devoted Wife, Mother, Daughter and Sister. She (Veteran) served her country in the United States Army and worked civil service for 43 years at Sheppard Air Force base winning several Civil Service Awards.
Anyone that knew her recognized that family and God were the most important things in her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she served in the Bell Choir and as a Eucharistic Minister. Some of her favorite things to do were gardening, reading, crocheting, playing video games, Red Hats, Bunko and most of all being with her grandkids. She was a beautiful, compassionate and strong-willed person.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Gilberto and Isabel Chapa and her son Justin Anthony Perez
Survivors include her husband Anthony, son Tony Ray and wife Jeanette Perez. Grandkids Johanna and Josiah Perez and Caleb Tippet
