She was a 1990 graduate of Shelby County High School, where she played basketball and was 8th Region player of the year. She was a graduate of UK with a degree in political science. She was a broker of natural gas with APB.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sherley Wood; her stepfather, Lucien Case; her grandparents, Logan & Vivian Arnsparger, Rosie Wood, and Beckham Wood; and her aunt, Janis Mathis.
