Tom is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judith (Medeiros) Holmes, his daughter Virginia (Ginny) Karwowski, his two granddaughters, Julianna and Katelynn Karwowski and his siblings, Mansfield (Joe) Holmes, Bill Holmes, Jim Holmes, Bob Holmes and Kathy Holmes DiPietro. His extended family included the Massey's of Tiverton, the Willis' of Middletown and many nieces, nephews, cousins, good friends and co-workers.

Tom had many passions including fishing, gardening, walking and playing games but his favorite thing was to make people smile - from his playful banter while working at Market Basket to his blueberry distribution to friends and neighbors. Tom had a unique way of connecting with people which brought joy to many. He will be greatly missed.

No services will be held at this time at his request. His family will celebrate his life during fishing season.
