Nell Rose LaBauve, a native of Coulee Croche and a proud resident of Lake Charles, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, March 4, 2022 at the age of 90.

A loving mother, Nell was the glue of her family. She always encouraged visitors as her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her loved ones. She always had coffee made and ready for when her family came over. Her favorite words were hearing them say, "I love you". Those three words were so very special to Nell. Nell was also a fantastic cook, her specialties being fried shrimp and gumbo. She enjoyed dancing to Cajun music and speaking French as well. She loved and was proud of her Cajun roots and family. In short, Nell was the perfect Southern Belle.

Those left to hold Nell's precious memory in their hearts are her four children.

She joined in her heaven her husband, Clarphy LaBauve and her husband, Harris; her parents, Oscar and Adolphina Miller; her sister, Gladys "Kat" Manuel and her husband; 1 brother-in-law, Aristille LaBauve and his wife, Mary Lee; 4 sister-in-laws, Avie Courville and her husband, Elton, Edith Guidry and her husband, Alex, Eula Granger and her husband, Diedier, and Anna Mae Trahan and her husband, Ulysses; and her later in life companion, Jim LeJuene.

A time of visitation will be held for Nell on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 5pm until 9pm with a rosary being prayed at 6:30pm followed by words of memory at J.E. Hixson & Sons Funeral Home in Lake Charles.
