Patricia Ann Kirby
Denver - Patricia Ann Kirby, longtime Pueblo resident, passed away Feb. 11, 2022, at her home in Denver.
After battling numerous illnesses, the cause of death was complications from a stroke.
"Patty" was preceded in death by her parents, Ann M. Williams and Joseph G. Williams.
She is survived by her son, Joey Williams; daughter, Laura A. Kirby; and numerous cousins.
Patty worked at her family's fancy food store in downtown Pueblo, managed a Kwik Way convenience store, and worked as a bank teller.
She graduated from Pueblo Catholic High School (Go Shamrocks!) and attended Loretto Heights College in Denver as a music major. Singing and attending concerts and theatrical productions were a big part of Patty's life.
She was also very active in the Pueblo community, volunteering many hours of her time to the Catholic Church and charitable causes, such as the Bishop's Guild where she was chairwoman of numerous events. Along with her love of music, she loved spending time with her family, playing poker and watching some of her favorite sports teams such as the Broncos, the Nuggets, the Rockies, the Yankees and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Patty was an incredibly strong, resilient and beautiful woman who touched the lives of many around her.
Rosary, 7 p.m. Thursday, March 10. and funeral Mass, 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, both at Pueblo's Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
A memorial service was held in Denver. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Volunteers of America (Meals on Wheels), 2660 Larimer Street, Denver, CO 80205.
