Elizabeth Davenport Foster, born about 1917. She married Sterling "Foster" Price, son of Ernest Sterling Price and Ruth Foster, on March 21, 1940. They lived in Baltimore. The only memory I have of her is at Buckroe Beach in Mathews County when I was about 2 years old. Someone was holding me and bumped into Elizabeth and her cigarette burned my arm. I remember later thinking that Elizabeth was very sophisticated. Sadly, Elizabeth died in 1948, leaving a very young son, Johnny, who was one of my favorite cousins. He would spend summers in Mathews County, VA (as I did) with his maternal grandmother (Agnes Green Foster) and many aunts/great aunts to spoil him.

Foster, her husband, never remarried.

It was a another very sad time when Elizabeth & Foster's son, Johnny, was killed in a car crash in 1954. He was only 12.
