Fargie Kenneth McLean, 80, died, Jan. 1, 2008, at Stafford District Hospital, Stafford, Kansas.
He was born July 29, 1927, at Partridge, the son of Fargie and Eva Marie Hirst McLean. A Sylvia resident since 1957, he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad, the Sylvia Co-op and was a farmer.
He belonged to the Sylvia United Methodist Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge, Partridge. He was U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War.
On May 25, 1952, he married Dorothy Pendengrass at Whiteside. She survives.
Other survivors include; a daughter, Linda Copeland, Sylvia, two brothers, Fred McLean, Oregon and Glenn McLean, Reed, Mo.; a sister, Naomi Beasen, Buhler; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Mark and Larry.
Funeral will be at 10:30 Friday at Minnis Chapel, Stafford, with Rev. Harry Graves, presiding. Burial will be in Partridge Cemetery.
Memorial may be sent to Sylvia United Methodist Church in care of the fueral home.
