Barbara Goins, 74, of Clyde, passed away on February 28, 2022, at Haywood Regional Medical Center.
A native of Haywood County, Barbara was born April 8, 1947 to the late Matthew William Rafferty and Grace Aldridge Rafferty. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Rathbone; husband, William Goins; brothers, Robert, Carl, and Doug; and sisters, Irene and Helen.
Barbara loved babies, animals, and talking on the phone. She was a natural caregiver and helped anyone out that needed it. She loved just calling and checking on you. Barbara was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish Barbara's memory are her children, Linda Rathbone, Stephen (Margaret) Rathbone, and Matthew Rathbone; grandchildren, Amanda, Richie, Stephen Jr., Heather, Isaac, Adrian, and Madison; 11 great grandchildren; nieces, Angelica, Elaine, and Margaret; nephews, Billy Joe and Jophiel; along with numerous extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Barbara's Life will be held at 6 pm, Friday, March 4, 2022, at Smoky Mountain Chapel with Reverend Billy Ferguson officiating.
