LINDEMAN - Church services for John Reinhart Lindeman, 83, 2917 17th Street, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. B.F. Meschke officiating.
Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Family services will precede church services at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
The body will lie in state after 1 p.m. today until noon Wednesday at Gass-Haney Funeral home and from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mr. Lindeman died Sunday night at Behlen Community Hospital.
The son of Herman and Gesina Johannes Lindeman, he was born June 21, 1890 in Colfax County where he lived until 1943. He attended Colfax County Schools and Christ Lutheran School.
He was married to Alvina Loseke Feb. 19, 1930 and they moved to a farm east of Columbus in Platte County where he farmed until 1971 when they moved to Columbus.
A retired farmer, he was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his widow; two sons, Eldon and Ervin of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Leona) Loeffler and Chameberlin [sic], both of Columbus; a sister, Mrs. Henry Dehning of Columbus, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ernst of Leigh, a sister Mrs. Godfrey (Elna) Marty of Leigh, three brothers and two sisters in infancy, and a grandchild.
