Tom Waddell passed away Friday, March 04, 2022, age 72, He was born April 06, 1949 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to the late Cleo and Hazel (Johnson) Waddell.
On December 28, 1971, Tom was united in marriage to Janet Witcher who survives, to this union five children were born, Tommie Waddell, Jr. and wife Andrea of Barnhart, MO, Amanda Day and husband Scott of Ironton, MO, Catherine Wayment and husband Joel of Goodlettsville, TN, Adam Waddell and wife Jennifer of Ironton, MO, and Alyssa Anderson and husband Cody of Henderson, KY, all of whom survive. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, Mary Catherine and husband Garrett, Austin and wife Makayla, Grant and wife Tarryn, Colton, Harrison, Justin, Kirsten, Emmaline and husband Jake, Aubrey, Dallin, Lucas, Lexi, Marcus, Sophie, and Ellie; four great-grandchildren, Jaren, Emberlyn, Kyson, Bentley, with one on the way; one sister Brenda Ward and husband Carl of Imboden, AR, a sister-in-law Phyllis Waddell of Springdale, AR, a brother-in-law "Bomer" Medlock of Little Rock, AR, a sister-in-law Donna Thacker and husband Steve of Hot Springs, AR, and many more loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in rest by his parents, two brothers Cleo Waddell and Ligie Waddell, and two sisters Leona Loftis and Mary Medlock.
Tom graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Education. He went on to teach and be an extremely successful coach for 13 years, and later went on to sell insurance
