Ella was born April 29, 1927 in Ravia, Oklahoma to the late Jessie Jasper Easley and Anna Mae (Graham) Easley. She lived in the Johnston County area until 1960 when she and her family moved to Midwest City. Ella married Calvin C. Smith in 1945, a union that lasted until his death in 1980. From this union, two daughters were born, Sherry and Carla. Ella worked at the tag agency in Tishomingo before moving to Midwest City. She later worked as an office manager for different trucking companies and then as a expeditor for Tinker Air Force base. Ella was an outgoing person and made lots of friends. She never liked being alone so friends and family were important to her. She was definitely a people person. Ella enjoyed dancing, traveling, arts and crafts, and oil painting. Everyone close to her has some of oil paintings. Another thing Ella enjoyed was gambling and going to the casinos. Anytime she traveled somewhere, she expected them to stop at a casino along the way.
Ella was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Calvin; brother, Jessie William Easley; great grandchildren, Calvin Maupin and Taylor Maupin.
