Inez worked in the furniture business for Thomasville Furniture for most of her life. She was a member of New Grace Baptist Church in Thomasville where she loved playing the piano, singing in the choir, and teaching Sunday school in Children's Church. Inez was a loving wife, very caring mother and grandmother, and caregiver for her grand-
children and great-grandchildren in her home.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life, John Homer Gray; three brothers, Grover Goins, Andy Goins, and Jake Goins; and three sisters, Marie Sumner, Pansy Burleson, and Lorea Hill. Surviving are one son; four daughters; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 8, 2022 at New Grace Baptist Church, 1029 Blair St. Thomasville, NC. 27360, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Donnie Lunsford officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
The family will forever be grateful to the Life Center of Lexington, 601 W. Center St. Lexington, NC 27292, and Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292, for the care and compassion their staff have shown to both Inez and her family over the last few years.
