Ronald "Ron" Eugene Freeman, 75, of Festus, Missouri, died February 27, 2022 at Mercy Jefferson Hospital, in Festus, MO.

He was born March 16, 1946 in Lincoln Park, MI, son of the late Evrett Eugene Freeman and Agnes Anita Freeman (Stinson).

When Ron was 19 years old, he left home to serve his country in the United States Navy. He served from 1965 to 1969, during his military career he served two tours in Vietnam. After leaving the Navy, Ron worked as a warehouseman for Schnucks. In his free time, Ron enjoyed golfing, reading, going to the beach and taking walks, trivia, doing yard work, listening to music, but most of all spending time with his granddaughter, Elly.

He was a member of Local 688 and Teamsters.

Surviving are Ron's wife of over 33 years, Nancy Freeman (Pashia) of Festus, MO, son, Ben (Indira) Freeman of Stuttgart, Germany - United States Marine Corps Veteran, daughters, Carissa (Cari) Allen of Festus, MO - active duty in the Missouri Air National Guard and Sarah (Sam) Maness of Festus, MO, granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Maness, brother, Donnie Freeman of Oakville, MO, along with numerous family members and friends.

Along with his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie (Joan) Freeman, sisters, Joan White, Shirley (Mike) Gossett, Barb (Grover) Cheatham, Joyce (Mary Bes) Freeman, and sister in law, Lucy Freeman.

Services will be held at Jefferson Barracks, March 4, 2022 at 11:30 am, with the procession leaving Mahn Twin City Chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri.

Contributions may be made to the family.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later time.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
