David is also survived by his wife, Dorothy, granddaughter, Maya Rouse, daughter Karen Farmer (Mike), grandson Seth Clark, daughter Krista Lyth (Kris) along with three nephews and one niece.
David was a longtime resident of both Fort Wayne and LaGrange, IN, but recently built their home in Greentown in 2020. He attended Abundant Life Church in Kokomo.
While residing in LaGrange, David served at The Council on Aging Center by providing care for seniors, building wheelchair ramps, and offering transportation for medical appointments.
Each Christmas David donned his Santa Clause suit to entertain children at the LaGrange Fire Department Holiday Festival. David was a skilled builder, mastered many trades, and was always lending his hands and experience to others, especially teaching Seth basic electricity skills.
His hobbies included listening to 60's and 70's Rock 'n Roll music, working on old cars and spending countless hours in his shop that he designed, built, and outfitted with every tool imaginable.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday March 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Greentown Wesleyan Church 120 N. Maple Street, Greentown with Pastor Eric Roemer officiating. Hasler & Stout Funeral Home 112 E. Main Street Greentown assisted the family with arrangements.
