She was a faithful member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a graduate of Knoxville High School class of 1947. She was an active member of the class reunions committee and helped organize reunions for several years. She was very enthusiastic about her involvement with the reunions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jones, Jr.; parents, Hubert and Elsie Davis; sister, Mary Ruth Akers; nephew, Tommy Akers; brother-in-law, Ray Akers and son-in-law, Bob Sherrod.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Clyde) Wells of Inverness, FL; Kay Sherrod of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Jeremy (Kelli) Cranford; Zack (Fiancé Hayley) Sherrod; Luke (Kelsie) Sherrod; Kara Wells; Krissa Livingston; great grandchildren, Conlan and Adelyn Cranford and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks for the wonderful care and help given by Truewood by Merrill at Powell.
