Charlie was a master welder by trade and once the proud owner of Fremaux Tavern.
Charlie loved his family, growing his tomatoes, hanging out with his friends and always enjoyed a good time. His family was his world and he loved them with all of his heart. His favorite pastime was spending time with his daughter Stacey, "son"-in-law Eric and grandchildren. They were his heart and soul. He loved to dance with his granddaughters and listen to Alan Jackson and old country music with his grandson. He always had a good story to share and was the best dad and pawpaw anyone could ask for. He always had a smile on his face and he passed his contagious smile down to his grandchildren. If we had a dime for all the smiles he put on our faces, we would all be rich.
Charlie will be missed by many, and his memory will leave those who knew him with the knowledge that he loved them well.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Charles "Hubert" and Katherine Jackson, and his First Love, Linda Labat Jackson.
He is survived by his daughter Stacey Levis and "son"-in-law Eric; four grandchildren, Katherine (Marcus), Kassidy (Austin), Kameron, and Khloe; two great grandchildren, Wylder and Baby Eisermann; three siblings and their spouses, Wanda Artigue (Glenn), Jim (Karen), and Jack (Mary) and nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; Best friend since the 5th grade, Lester Ansardi, and many lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be held on March 14, 2022, at Honaker Funeral Home, in Slidell, Louisiana at noon. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Interment with military honors at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell directly following service
