PRESTON GASTON BARRETT, age 71 of Jemison, passed away on March 2, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Monticello, FL on October 11, 1950; the son of the late Eather Barrett and the late Grace Gibbs Barrett.
Preston was a wonderfully loving father and grandfather that was a retired truck driver from Albany, GA. He was known in the trucking community as "Birdman." Everyone knew he was coming by his unique bird whistle. Preston was a kind, gentle man who loved spending time with his family. All his loved ones were important to him. He was known for his humorous personality and always making you smile. He loved spending his time off spinning that 16# ball down at the bowling alley, attempting that coveted perfect game.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
No services will be held at this time, however, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
