Billy Eugene Welch, 71, of Vidor died Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at his residence in Vidor, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor and worked for American Valve and Hydrant from which he retired after 42 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time and coached 2 generations in various sports, he was a gifted trumpet player in school, as well as a basketball player. Later in life he became an avid golfer and loved to hunt and fish. He treasured time on the water in his bass boat with his beloved wife.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 10am at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Billy is survived by his wife of 44 years Deborah Welch, his son Zach Welch and wife Melyssa of New Augusta, Mississippi, his daughter Misty White and husband David of Houston, Texas, his father Roger Welch of Vidor and his brother Dale Welch and wife Wonda of Vidor, as well as his grandchildren, Kai Welch, Maverick Welch, Bentley Welch, Joshua White and Jennings White and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother Helen Welch and Brother Michael Welch.
