It is with great sadness that the family of JoAnn K. Schmall Mercer Price announces her passing on February 24, 2022.
JoAnn was born in Fresno to Leo and Mabel Schmall. She grew up in Parlier and attended Parlier High School. Upon graduation, she attended Fresno City College and worked at Sun Maid Raisins in Selma. After moving to Madera in 1964 with her former husband, Donald Mercer, she worked for a time at the Madera High School Ag Department. In 1982, she married the love of her life, Gary L. Price. Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother and homemaker.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband Gary L. Price, her daughter Brigitte Mercer; her son Kevin Mercer and his wife Debbie and their sons Jared (Katherine), Chad and Aaron; her son Bret Mercer and his wife Amy and their sons, Sean (Nohely), Connor and Elliot. Her daughter Kelly Stanfield and her children David and Ashleigh.
In addition, JoAnn leaves her brother Leo Schmall and his wife Pat; her sister Janet Johnston; her sister Debra Olvera and her husband Carlos; her nieces and nephews.
At her request, no services will be held. Remembrances may be made to Hinds Hospice.
