Larry Rose, 77. of the Forest Grove community, died Thursday, February 24, 2022 at his residence.

LARRY WAYNE ROSE was born July 30, 1944 in Paisley, Oregon, the son of the late Glen Rose and Mary (Luce) Rose. He was raised and received his education in Montesano, Washington and later in Hillsboro, Oregon, having been a graduate of the Hillsboro Union High School Class of 1962. He was a member of the concert band, having played the trumpet. Upon his high school graduation, Larry attended Portland State University, having received an associate's degree in business.

He was united in marriage to Joyce Anne Brabham on June 11, 1966 in the First Christian Church in Hillsboro, Oregon. Following their marriage they made their home in several communities including Portland, West Slope, Cedar Mill, Aloha, Hillsboro and in 1992, they moved to the Tigard community, where they made their home for many years.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, on August 25, 2018, after celebrating over fifty-two years of marriage together.

He had worked as a purchasing manager in the Hi-Tech industry for many years, Larry worked for Tektronix, Inc. for fifteen years and later for Integrated Measurement Systems, until he retired at the age of fifty-nine years old.

Among his special interests, Larry enjoyed music, drag racing and restoring cars, especially Chevrolet. Larry also was a fan of the Portland Trailblazers and the University of Oregon Ducks Football team. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mary Rose and by his brother, Harold Rose.

Survivors include his four children and their spouses, Shelley and Phillip Peters, of Forest Grove, Oregon; Tony and Jennifer Rose, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Brenda and Kevin Jones, of Forest Grove, Oregon and Cindy and Anthony Barry, of Cornelius, Oregon; his brother and sister-in-law, James and Kim Rose, of Portland, Oregon and his sister and brother-in-law, Annette and John Chitwood, of Columbia City, Oregon.

Also surviving are his ten grandchildren, Andrew Asanovic, of Vancouver, Washington; Tia Asanovic, of Roy, Oregon; Morganne Peters, of Forest Grove, Oregon; Garrett Peters, of Forest Grove, Oregon; Bryce Rose, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Spencer Jones, of Forest Grove, Oregon; Collin Jones, of Forest Grove, Oregon; Mason Uffner, of Cornelius, Oregon; Ashley Barry, of Cornelius, Oregon and Owen Barry, of Cornelius, Oregon; his great-granddaughter, Kalli Rose Tucker, of Roy, Oregon and several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the March of Dimes.
