Thomas Burns, age 74 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022. Thomas was born in Hamilton, Ohio on September 28, 1947 to Homer P. Burns and Eleanor (Kain) Burns. In 1965 he married the love of his life, Sandra Goins, in Kentucky. In 1971, Thomas began working for the B&O Railroad, now known as the CSX Railroad, where he worked for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed classic cars, going to car shows, and won multiple awards and trophies for his cars. Thomas loved music, playing cards, and being surrounded by his family.

Thomas is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Sandra G. Burns; three daughters, Tammy (Tim) Murray, Terri (Bob) Sutten, and Sandy (Mike) Burwell; eight grandchildren, Laura, Scott, Amber, Johnathon, Victoria, Christopher, Toni, and Nick; 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor (Buck) Bannon; one brother, Mike (Sue) Burns; and numerous other relatives and friends. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Mary Smith, Pearl Kain, and William Burns; one granddaughter, Rachel Staton; and three great-grandchildren.

Per Thomas's request, cremation has taken place.
