-My Direct 9th Great Grandfather-

He was a large landowner (over 300 plus acres), farmer of commodities, and businessman in Stratford and Wallingford, CT. His will states he owned many buildings/stores throughout CT. His stone has not been located but, many of his family including his brothers, Joseph, Nathaniel, and Issac (who are listed in his will) are buried at the Old Congregational Cemetery. According to "Beachs In America" by Richard Planter he was born on April 1654 amongst many other siblings in Wallingford. His father, John Sr. came over as a proprietor of Wallingford and known as John the Pilgrim from England. John Beach Jr. Married Hannah Staples, the mother of his children. His father is often confused as Thomas Beach because of mistakes in early writtings and the closeness of the Beach families who lived very close to each other (so they may be related further up the chain). His will documents his children and three of his brothers are Nathaniel, Isacc, and Joseph who are undoubtedly the sons of John the Pilgrim from England. In Johns will he mentions giving his daughter Mary Beach a dowry and part of it to her husband Archibald Dunlop. John Beach Jr. dispersed his land and monies amongst his family in his will giving most of it to his son Ebenezer. Among his children named in the will are:

Mehitable Beach
Hester Beach
Ebenezer Beach
Mary Beach

He married second Phebe (Wilcoxson) Birdsey widow of John Birdsey.
