Patricia "Pat" Ann Cook was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Pat left this world suddenly on February 27, 2022, at age 85, in her home.
Pat was born to Sarah and Edward Burt in 1936. She graduated from Royerton High school in 1954 and continued her studies at Ball State University where she met her husband, Ralph Cook, of 53 years. Pat and Ralph lived in Muncie, Indiana where they raised their two sons Ron and Rob Cook. Pat worked in the library at the Royerton Elementary School for over 30 years. She was an active member of Eden Church where she attended bible studies and numerous other functions. Pat enjoyed watching her grandchildren play their sports and was a fan of Delta Middle/High school athletics.
In the fall of 2012 Pat was reunited with a high school friend, Jim Benefiel. Jim and Pat spent the past ten years as loving companions to each other.
Pat will be remembered for her love of holidays, her infamous popcorn balls at Halloween, her Christmas display of lights that adorned her yard all year long and the hundreds of red geraniums which she planted each spring.
Pat was survived by her companion Jim Benefiel, her two sons Ron Cook (Lisa) and Rob Cook (Genae), grandchildren Dane Cook (Erica), Leah Huxhold (Austin), Elena Cook, Brady Cook, Alexandra Cook, and great-grandchildren Easton Huxhold and Campbell Huxhold. Her sisters Mary Stewart, Ruthie Erausquin and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat was proceeded in death by her parents, Sarah and Edward Burt and husband Ralph Cook.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Eden Church. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory.
