A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Betty took great effort to care for her family. Being "Grandma" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was one of the ultimate joys of life, for each was the apple of her eye.
A member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Betty devoted her time and gifts to her Lord through the ministries of the church. Her love for Jesus was evident to all she met.
Riding around from place to place with her family conjured many pleasant memories from Betty's life. Whether walking or sitting at the beach, listening to Betty's life stories could engage you for hours.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 25, 2022, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Betty's life at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be with her family at Falling Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Jenny Lou Huffman and husband Dewey; grandchildren, Christina Louise Thomas and husband, Kevin; Robert Riddle and wife Britany; Joseph Riddle and wife, Samantha; and Michelle Dart and husband, Stephen; and great-grandchildren, Elijah, Adalyn, Christian, Denver, Gage and Kayson. She is also survived by her brothers, Earl Dunbar and Gary Dunbar; and sisters, Anna Moore and Brenda Goldberg.
