Judy Lancaster Parks was called home on Friday, February 25, 2022 while being cared for at Woodard's Care in Goldsboro.
The life she lived, one of grace and Christian love, could not be diminished by the sickness that she endured. Her sweet smile and gentle ways will be remembered by everyone that knew her.
Judy was born in Wayne County on October 12, 1943 to the late Coor P. and Virginia Gardner Lancaster. She was married to the late David Gene Parks, Sr., who preceded her in death on May 6, 2020. Judy and David loved their son and they devoted their life to his care until his death in 2005.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Judy is survived by her sister, Shelby Jean Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Gene Parks, Jr.; and brothers, Donald Ray Lancaster and C.P. Lancaster.
