Joan Albis Johnson, of Ashland, Virginia, went to be with our Lord Friday, February 25, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. Joan was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Cecil Johnson; her father, Charles; and mother, Alma Albis; her brother, Buddy Albis. She is survived by her children, Richard (Karen) Houghton, Elizabeth Goddard, Cheryl Adkins, Tonya Johnson, Shane Johnson, Holley Johnson and Sean Johnson; her grandchildren, Todd, Matt, Melissa, Kyle, Caitlyn, Noah, Caleb, Tyler, Jade, Nicholas and Cecilia; and nine great-grandchildren; and a beloved friend, Joyce Bolden. A memorial ceremony will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at 1 p.m., Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hanover Human Society.
