Julie Ann Meyer, age 47, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Julie "Jules" graduated from Fairview (Sherwood, OH) High School in 1993. One of Julie's passions was sky diving, having several recorded jumps. She was especially proud of her family and enjoyed spending time with those she loved.

Julie was born on September 6, 1974 and is survived by her son Austin Meyer, her mother Freda (Singer) Meyer, her brother Jeffrey Meyer, his son Caden, her niece Paige (Robert) Artino, great-nieces Raven and Luna, extended family Matt and Novell Meyer, their children Isabelle, Princeton and Eva, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Meyer, and her grandparents, Carl and Agnes (Boff) Singer and Clarence and Dorothy (Hetz) Meyer.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Schaffer Funeral Home South, Lawson/Roessner Chapel (1753 S. Clinton St.), with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30 pm. Due to CDC guidelines if you are not fully vaccinated a mask is required to enter the funeral home, and our lounge area will remain closed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at St. Isidore (Marysdale) Catholic Church, 6324 State Route 15, Defiance, Ohio, 43512 with Fr. Melwin Dsouza officiating. She will be laid to rest at St. Isidore (Marysdale) Catholic Cemetery in Defiance.

Memorials are requested to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, 6817 N. State Route 66, Defiance, OH 43512, or Masses celebrated at preferred parishes.
