Regina Katherine Thomas Hicks, 60 of Monticello, KY, passed from this life on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset after an extended illness.

She was born in Frankfort, Indiana on March 3, 1961, daughter of the late Paul Rufford and Mary Harness. After graduating High School, she attended Somerset Community College and went on to become a Home Health Nurse. She thoroughly enjoyed the nursing field. Regina was a kind-hearted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, painting as well as crocheting, she also enjoyed reading and writing poetry, having several of her poems published. She was of the Christian Faith and will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three children that died in infancy; Allen, Mathew and Amanda, a daughter; Tonya Herrerra, and a brother; Blake Harness.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband; Gordon Lee Hicks of Monticello, two sons; William (Charity) Lee and Lawrence Hicks of Monticello, two brothers; Robert "Rob" Harness and Ted Harness, and three sisters; Betty, Teresa (John) and Rosanna, and seven grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
