Rev. James Buford Madden age 83 of Appleton Road in Castleberry, passed away Sunday morning February 27, 2022 in a Mobile Hospital. Rev. Madden was a native of Escambia County, Alabama and a life-long resident of the Castleberry area. He owned and operated Madden Logging and was a heavy equipment operator. He loved his Lord and family and had previously pastored Friendship Holiness Church, Glory Hill Holiness Church, House of Prayer in Range, and Bethel Holiness Church. Rev. Madden enjoyed spending time with his family and watching the series Heartland. He enjoyed wagon riding and his mule "Elroy".

Survivors; Wife of 62 years; Betty Faye Cain Madden of Castleberry; Son; Randy (Victoria) Madden of Evergreen; Brothers; Elton (Kathy) Madden of Brewton; Shorty (Jolene) Madden of Brewton; Sisters; Carolyn Cooper of Brewton; Judy (Chip) Reid of Brewton; Grandchildren; Morgan (Eli) Tyree, Conner Madden, Gracelyn Madden; 3 special Grandchildren; Patrick Ard, Kaylee Ard and Kevin Ard; 1 Great Grandchild on the way.

Preceded by his parents; James Floyd and Pearl Morris Madden and a son; Harlon Ard.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening March 1, 2022 from 6 until 8PM at Craver's Funeral Home Inc;

Funeral services for Rev. James Buford Madden will be held 1PM Wednesday afternoon March 2, 2022 from the Chapel of Craver's Funeral Home Inc with Brother Russ McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Glory Hill Cemetery in the Appleton Community with CRAVER'S FUNERAL HOME INC OF BREWTON DIRECTING.
