Mary Howell, 61, of Lubbock passed away January 25, 2022. Mary was born February 26, 1960 in Memphis, TN to Richard and Joy Massengill. Mary graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1978. She was often described as fierce, proud, and strong. She touched so many lives and brought joy to everyone that she met. She loved horses, riding, training, and showing them. She was also an avid fan of motorcycles. She was never happier than when on the back of a horse or motorcycle. She was a longtime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Mary was a bookkeeper for many years. Mary was the happiest that she had ever been these past few years.
Loved ones include son, Sean Howell; husband, Joe Heffley; brother, David Massengill and his wife, Liza; Mark Massengill and wife, Lisa; sister, Susan Finnegan; niece, Maggie Finnegan, nephew, Colin Finnegan.
Preceded in death by parents; brother, David Paul Massengill.
