Daniel Boone Carter, Jr. (Dan), age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer and Parkinson's Disease, at the family home surrounded by family and friends.
A faithful member of East Maryville Baptist Church and servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather and loved his children and his loving and loyal dog, Sandy.
Preceded in death by his father, Daniel B. Carter, Sr. and mother, Nella Carter; sisters, Mildred Crisp, Jaunita Adams, Erma Patterson; brothers, Alvin and Harold Carter.
Survived by his wife of 57 years, Carolyn Carter; son, Danny Carter (Jennifer) of New Smyrna Beach, Fl.; daughter, Crystal Rauch (Dennis); 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Phelps (Tom) of Fort Mill, South Carolina; brother, Ralph Carter (Eleanor) of Fort Myers, Florida; sister-in-law, Reatha Carter of Greenback, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews.
