He was born in Chester, S.C. and was a son of the late Johnny Brown and Alma Jones Brown.
He was a member of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church in Gaffney, S.C. Lee was a retiree of Magnolia Finishing Company.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Brown, Jr.
Lee leaves to cherish loving memories: three sons, Lee Edward Tate, Sr. (Wanda), of Spartanburg, S.C., Torry Allen, Sr. (Quanette) and Terrence Demond Bridges, Sr., both of Gaffney; a daughter, Sherrie Byrd (Xaiver), of Gaffney; a sister, Mattie Brown, of Gaffney, 14 grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Monday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m., in Limestone Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael L. Golden and Minister Torry Allen. Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park.
