Age 90, born October 17, 1931, Evelyn (Evie) Mae Fisher (nee Hehir), age 90, loving wife of Dr. Fred L. Fisher for 65 years, passed away on February 20. Evie was known to many who loved her as Beeb. Devoted mother of seven: Beth Kirk (Bob), Fritz (Sheila), Judy Klein (Jim), Kate Boie (Steve), Laurie Humphrey, Jenny Coyle (Dan), and Rob (Laura). Loving grandmother of 20: Julie & Rob Kirk (Katie); Erin Young (Jon); Colleen, Shannon (deceased) & Katie Fisher; Lizzie, Allie & Danny Klein; Zem & Kasen Boie; Owen & Ben Humphrey; Aidan, Katie, Lia & Zoe Coyle; Callie, Jack & Lauren Fisher. Great grandmother of Veda Maugans and Nora Evelyn Kirk. Beeb was born on Cleveland's East Side and attended St. Ann's and Gesu grade schools and Beaumont Academy, then earned her degree in Accounting at Notre Dame College. Her sophomore year she met the love of her life, Fred, and they spent the next 71 years together. At the end of every workday, Fred and Evie met halfway between Fairview Hospital and home, and they walked the neighborhood hand in hand. Beeb was an active and involved mother, including serving as Mothers' Club President at St. Joseph's Academy, and she guided each of her seven children through 16 years of Catholic education. Forever a Notre Dame football fan, she was particularly proud of sending 4 children to ND, followed up by 5 grandchildren. Beeb had a special relationship with each of her grandchildren. She was a vibrant, fun personality who brought joy to all of those close to her. Funeral Mass Saturday, February 26, St. Angela Merici Church 20970 Lorain Rd. 11:30 am.
