Jerry Wayne Quinn, age 69 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Winchester on April 16, 1952, to the late William Thurman and Ruth Isbell Quinn and known by his family as "Bubba." Before his retirement, he was employed for Winchester Utilities as a lineman for thirty-eight years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed being outdoors in nature hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going to tractor pulls and watching westerns with his brother. Jerry's family will recall his kind personality, but also how they compared him to a bear because when he was fierce when he needed to be. As a small child, he was baptized in the Catholic Church. Jerry currently attended the Estill Springs Church of God and Decherd Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary McCarver, Larry Quinn, and Terry Quinn. Jerry is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Christy Quinn of Winchester; sons, Nathan Quinn of Winchester, and Kyle Quinn of Winchester; sisters, Joann Bilbow of Tallahassee, Florida, and Sandy Quinn of Tullahoma; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in the Moore-Cortner Chapel. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Moore-Cortner Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
