Jon Michael Arritt (Mike) was born on May 1, 1941, in Oak Hill, W.Va., to his parents Frank Leslie Arritt and Celeste Lorraine Arritt. Mike grew up in Meadow Bridge, W.Va., where he graduated from high school with Salutatorian honors. He was a member of his high school basketball team and band. A proud graduate of Marshall University. Mike spent his career as head chemist for International Nickle Company in Huntington, W.Va., while serving as a deacon, elder and pastor of the United Church of God IA. Mike was preceded in death by his father Frank L. Arritt, mother Celeste Arritt, brother Ronald Eugene Arritt, and wife Patricia A. Arritt. Mike is survived by his wife, Rita Gayle Arritt; sister Carolyn Arritt; his children Teresa Chafin (Craig), Jon M. Arritt II (Lori), Donna Toler (Thomas) and Mona Arritt; his grandchildren Brittany Toler, Sarah Stephens, Brooke Edwards, Thomas Toler II, Tyler Chafin, Jon M. Arritt III, Trevor Arritt, and Gabriel Arritt; great-grandchildren Dallon, Liam, Elias, Weston Michael, Savannah, and Sierra; and step-children Tony DiLisio, Rob DiLisio, Sherri Feltner and Shelli Hall. Mike, when not enjoying his many projects around their home, was known for his love of sharing his hiking and biking adventures around the area with friends and family. He loved to travel – taking cruises with Rita. He will always be remembered by his family for his love of building and fixing things.

A Visitation for Mike will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at Dodd Payne Hess Funeral Home, 350 W Maple Ave, Fayetteville, West Virginia. Burial will Follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, West Virginia.
