David Christopher Ford, age 74, entered eternal rest on Friday morning, February 4, 2022, at his residence with his loving wife by his side.

He was born in New Orleans, on March 26, 1947, to Christopher Julius Ford and Dorothy Peyton Ford.

David was a devoted husband to his wife, Dolores Rodriguez Ford, for 37 years. They were married on February 2, 1985.

David retired from Emery Ocean Services. He was also a member of the American Legion, in which he served as treasurer and chaplain.

David enjoyed his friends, singing Karaoke, and he even starred in films later in life. He always helped people in need, and he was well respected and loved.

David will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Christopher J. Ford and Dorothy P. Ford, his siblings, Richard Ford, Jerry Ford, Larry Ford, Robert Ford, and Linda Ford.

David is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Ford; his daughter, Charmaine Ford; his grandchildren, Austin Fairchild (Sarah), Lexi Reeves (Kameron), Ashlyn Reeves and one great grandchild, Blakely Fairchild.

David is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Rizzo and June Queen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Pinewood Country Club, 405 Country Club Blvd, Slidell LA, beginning at 10:30am on March 4, 2022. Interment will immediately follow at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 1:30pm.
