Surrounded by his loving family, Guadalupe "Pete" Garcia passed Saturday, February 26, 2022 at his home in Borger.
He was born January 24, 1943 in San Marcos, Texas to Pedro and Julia Vera Garcia. On June 15, 1963, Guadalupe Garcia and Mary Ann Rocha were married in Tulia, Texas.
He was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Catholic Church, Borger. He was a great business man despite having only a 4th grade education. In 1984, he opened and owned A-1 Paint and Body Shop in Borger. When he and Mary were younger, they loved dancing.
Preceding him in death was his parents; his loving wife, Mary Ann; a son, Timothy Garcia; a grandson, Matthew Steven Garcia, II and a granddaughter, Stephanie Joy Garcia.
Left to forever cherish his memory are 4 sons: Guy Anthony Garcia of Borger, Chris Garcia and wife Mary of Borger, Steve Garcia and wife Kim of Borger and Jamie Garcia and Dana Rodriguez of Borger; a daughter-in-law, Scottie Garcia (wife of Timmy) of Borger; a brother, John Garcia of Austin; 2 sisters-in-law: Erinqueta Garcia of Plainview and Pat Garcia of Portland, Oregon; 2 sisters: Pat Peralez of Houston and Rosie and Cruz Dominguez of Austin; 10 grandchildren: Marc and Faby Garcia, Cyndel Barragan, Katie Ledford and husband Brent, Chris Garcia and wife Mackenzie, Neeka Munoz and husband Eric, Breanna Garcia, Aidan Garcia, Lisa Garcia, Jacob Garcia and Hannah Garcia; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Rosary will be recited Monday, February 28 at 7:00 PM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, 206 W. 1st St., Borger.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 201 Saint Johns Rd., Borger. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Borger.
Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
