Yvonne was a homemaker and an excellent seamstress. She loved sewing for her family. When she was not at the sewing machine, she could be found in the yard working among her flowers. She was an active member of Calhoun City First Baptist Church until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edd Boland and Ary Carter Boland; her husband Prentice Donovan Brown; sisters: Carrie Bounds, Clara Bounds, Maybelle Whitworth, and Louise Easley; brothers: Son Boland, Frank Boland, Pete Boland, Jinks Boland, Coot Boland, and Melvin Boland; and daughter-in-law Beth Brown.
Survivors include: son Jimmy Brown, of Calhoun City, MS; daughters Janis B. (Sam) Morgan, Hackleburg, AL, and Donna B. (Michael) Bird, Meridian, MS; 8 grandchildren: Lynn (Melanie) Brown, Christopher Brown, Marty (Gretchen) Brown, Stephen (Jessica) Morgan, Emily Lackey, Matthew (Angela) Morgan, Andrew (Sara) Morgan, and Anna Ray (Scott) Sherman; 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Brown will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Parker Memorial Funeral Home, Bruce with Dr. Michael Bird and Rev. Sam Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Garden. Pallbearers will be: Chris Brown, Lynn Brown, Marty Brown, Emily Lackey, Andrew Morgan, Matthew Morgan, Stephen Morgan, and Anna Ray Sherman.
