MATTHEW J. McGINTY, 61, of Pepper Pike, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly Sunday, February 20, 2022, at his home having lived life to its fullest. Matt was born to the late Thomas and June McGinty (nee Coutu) of Shaker Heights, grew up in University Heights, active faithfully at Gesu Church, attended University School and The George Washington University. He contributed to many boards and nonprofits. Matt was a loving and devoted husband to the late loving Trish (nee Sullivan). Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Anyone who knew Matt was touched by his kindness, generosity, humor, and mild temperament. He poured his heart and soul into his work and was always a source of positivity by wit, wisdom and humor. Matt touched everybody's lives and made it a point to make all those he encountered feel so important and special. Matt was an avid reader of a wide variety of topics and sources.

Matt was preceded in death by his brother, Michael. He is survived by his dear brother, Tom (wife Patty) and sister-in-law, Lynn as well as his extended family and an abundance of friends. We will all miss him more than words can say.

Matt will be laid to rest with his loving beloved wife Trish. Family and friends will be invited to gather at a later date for a Mass of Christian Burial. We are grateful for your support and contributions during this difficult and tragic time. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your favorite charity or the American Heart Association.
