Once month after birth, the family moved to Bossier City, LA. There, Evelyn lived in the Shreveport-Bossier metropolitan area all her life with a three brief stays in Greenwood, MS, one in Little Rock, AR, and one in Glenwood, AR.
She was proceeded in death by her father of Benton, LA; husband James Anthony "Tony" Bailey of the Shreveport-Bossier, LA area, paternal grandparents, Melvin Ottis Woods and Gladys Mae Cummings Woods Blade Falgout Blade Taylor both of Greenville, MS; her maternal grandparents, Margaret Ann Hicks Singleton Burk Billitar of Dade, FL, Johnny Everette Singleton and step grandmother Mary Davis Burk Singleton of Greenwood, MS; her uncles William Greg Billiter of Dade, FL, Robert Belton Burk of FL, and Johnny Everette Singleton, Jr. of Greenwood, MS.
She is survived by her son Caleb Barker of Glenwood, AR; mother of Haughton, LA; sisters Martha R. Blade (Jeff) Kuhn and Jessica N. Blade of Glenwood, AR, Angela M. Blade (Kent) Jenkins of Dayton, OH, and Jena D. Blade of Haughton, LA; half siblings, Thomas E. (Sandra) Blade of Arab, AL, Gladys N. Blade (Brad) Reaves of Guntersville, AL, and Laura N. Blade Leeth of Greenville, MS. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and step siblings.
Evelyn was killed when a vehicle struck her [pedestrian] person near Greenwood, MS.
Evelyn was cremated and is now with her son and sister, Martha, in Glenwood, AR.
