Margaret Michael Evans, 96, 921 Greenwood Terrace, lifelong Salt Lake resident died at the home of a daughter Friday.
Mrs. Evans was a prominent vocalist in her youth and a member of the Tabernacle Choir. She is the mother of the Evans Sisters, a Salt Lake vocal and instrumental trio.
She was born Dec. 15, 1867, daughter of Henry and Ruth Williams Michael.
She married Oscar Young Evans Sept. 12, 1889, Salt Lake Temple. He died, 1919. Member, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Her survivors include Mrs. J. H. (Grace) McGibbeny and Mrs. Carl C. (Claire) Herrick, both of Salt Lake City; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 255-2nd East, Tuesday noon, where friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
