Deborah was a loving, devoted wife and mother, who above all, put her faith and trust in God. She was a supportive pastor's wife and member of Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church.
Deborah was retired from human resources at Tennessee Tech University after more than 30 years of service. She loved to read, take countryside road trips, work in the garden, and care for her special dog, Molli Coco.
She leaves behind her husband of 44 years: Mike Adams, whom she married September 3, 1977 in Algood; daughter: Jennifer Adams of Cookeville; brothers: Donnie (Patsy) Williams of Cookeville, Lonnie Williams and Tommy Williams, both of Algood; mother-in-law: Willie Brown Adams; brother-in-law: Mark (Karen) Adams; sisters-in-law: Vicky (Randall) Duke and Veronica (Johnny) Pack - all of Smithville; nephews: Stacy (Misty) Williams of Cookeville, Jeremy Williams of Algood, Trenton Williams of Algood, Justin (Felicia) Duke of Smithville, Jared (Sydney) Adams of Chattanooga; nieces: Amanda (Scott) Goodwin of Smithville, Marla (Jim) Beshearse of Smithville, Brooke (Drew) Hutton of Knoxville, Megan (Joseph) Carroll of Smithville, and Mykaela (Riley) Young of Smithville and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law: Brownie Adams and her sister-in-law: Loretta Williams.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Walker and Bro. Estel Bilbrey officiating. Interment followed at Algood City Cemetery.
