Anne Van Eyk passed away suddenly at The Village at University Gates in Waterloo on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at the age of 86. Anne is survived by her brothers and sisters John Poechman of Hanover, Ralph Poechman of Hanover, Eileen Flamon of Saskatchewan, Reta Poechman of Waterloo, Alfred Poechman and his wife Marilyn of Hanover, Ruth Jackson of Port Burwell, former sister-in-law Gail Poechman of Walkerton, and several nieces and nephews and their families.

Predeceased by her husband Frank Van Eyk, parents Alex and Christina Poechman, sisters Marie McLaughlin and her husband Ed and Louise Hafermehl and her husband Harvey, brothers-in-law Bob Flamon and Earl Jackson, and sister-in-law Phyllis Poechman.

Before retirement, Anne worked at Mutual Life in Waterloo. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Kitchener.

Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, December 29, 2019, from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, December 30, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's R C Church, 85 Strange St., Kitchener on Monday, December 30, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Father Francisco Cruz as Celebrant. Interment at Memory Gardens, Breslau. A reception at the funeral home will follow the interment. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
