Cochran – Johnny Ray Howell, age 69, died Friday, February 25, 2022, in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 28, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bowers Cemetery.
Johnny Ray was a lifelong resident of Cochran. He was the son of the late Johnny C. and Mona Lee Fann Howell and was preceded in death by his son Terry Howell. He was retired from J.M. Huber, after 38 years and former bus driver for Bleckley County Schools for 10 years. He was a member and deacon of New Hope Freewill Baptist Church.
